akasaart: I am a Christian and register Republican too. I am for health care reform and the public option. People are not so black and white. Nixion tried to reform health care with a plan much like the ones on the table today. The Democrats defeated it. The problem the opposition has is it is in the best interest for most to reform health care. But a few special interest with deep pockets would lose money. So they don’t use logic but instead try to scare us.

Yesterday Dirty Harry Reid likened Republicans to those who didn’t want to end slavery. As I recall Lincoln (a Republican) signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Senator Robert Byrd (a Democrat) filibustered the Civil Rights Act. I just named a couple pieces of history that Reid is not bright enough to understand.
